MICROBLADING AESTHETIC TREATMENT AT THE HAIR & BEAUTY LOUNGE…

Microblading is a technique used to implant pigment under the epidermis of the skin, using a specially designed handpiece and tiny blade to produce realistic looking thin hair strokes.

Using this method, many different looks can be created, from a natural light finished effect to a thick bold brow.

It is an ideal method for filling in missing brow hair. The brows can last between 12 months to 2 years depending on the skin type and colour chosen.

A patch test is required at least 48 hours prior to treatment.

Treatment costs for eyebrows are £175 including touch up appointment at 4-6 weeks after initial treatment.

WHAT IS AN EXFOLIATION FACIAL TREATMENT?…

An exfoliation facial is a treatment that can not only help to remove dead skin celss but can also slow down the rate at which skin ages.

Cleansing alone will not give the same effect on your skin but exfoliation helps to slough off these cells, and it’s not used strictly on your face it can also be used on your body. I recently had a back exfoliation and it was amazing how different my skin felt afterwards.

You can buy different types of exfoliaiton products around from powders to electrical gadgets. However, a professional exfoliation facial given by a qualified beautician will give you the best results. Contact the Hair & Beauty Lounge to book an appointment with one of our beauticians.

SEMI PERMANENT EYE LASHES AT THE HAIR & BEAUTY LOUNGE…

Semi-Permanent Eyelash Extensions are becoming very popular now especially with top celebrities like Jenifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, Cheryl Cole, Beyonce, and Madonna.
It is a revolutionary way to extend the thickness, length, and curl of your lashes.
The extensions are single strands of synthetic eyelashes that are curved to replicate and feel like human lashes. They are applied to your own individual eyelashes, one lash at a time, with strong lash glue. The bond is designed to last until the natural lash has finished its cycle and both the natural lash and the extension will fall out together.
They can last up to 3 months with regular 2/3 week infills.
They are very versatile so you can go swimming, go to the gym, sauna or other activities and they will be absolutely fine.

6 FASCINATING FACTS ON AROMATHERAPY…

The roots of aromatherapy can be traced back more than 3,500 years before the birth of Christ, to a time when the use of aromatics was first recorded in human history.

The use of essential oils for therapeutic, spiritual, hygienic and ritualistic purposes goes back to a number of ancient civilizations including the Chinese, Indians, Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans who used them in cosmetics, perfumes, and drugs.

The history of aromatherapy is believed to have begun with the burning of fragrant woods, leaves, needles, and tree gums in ancient times. This practice probably arose from the discovery that some firewood, such as cypress and cedar, filled the air with scent when they burned. In fact, our modern word perfume is derived from the Latin per fumum, which means “through smoke.”

A French surgeon, Jean Valnet, pioneered the medicinal uses of essential oils, which he used as antiseptics in the treatment of wounded soldiers during World War

Madame Marguerite Maury (1895-1968) was an Austrian born biochemist who became interested in what was to become aromatherapy.  Her influential book, ‘Le Capital Jeunesse’ was released in France in 1961 but sadly did not initially receive the acclaim that it deserved. In 1964 it was released in Britain under the title of ‘The Secret of Life and Youth’ and has at last been recognised for the great work that it was.

Throughout the world, aroma became an integral part of healing and lay the foundation for our use of aromatherapy today.

The Hair & Beauty Lounge offers a full body Aromatherapy for £42 – booking is essential for this luxury treatment.

TREAT YOUR FEET AT THE HAIR & BEAUTY LOUNGE…

Come and relax in our beautiful, salon while our expert beauticians give you a professional pedicure.

Whether you just want to pop in for a mini pedicure or treat yourself to a full pedicure, you will walk out with beautiful twinkling toes.

You could either have a full pedicure for £24 or a full pedicure with gels for £35.

After a warm welcome you will be asked to pick a nail colour, then they will remove any polish you may have on your toes. Between having each treatment your feet will be soaking in warm, bubbling water. Your nails will be trimmed and filed and your cuticles trimmed. Any rough spots on your feet with be scrubbed and you will enjoy a massage while your feet are being moisturized. Polish will then be put on your toes and if you are having gel polish then this will be set under the UVA light.

There is something very special about a pedicure in the way it makes you feel after your treatment. We can all (just about) manage to paint our own toe nails but having a pedicure is best done by a professional beautician.

You need to book your appointment for this treatment and allow time for your nails to dry if you haven’t had gel nails done. We also have gift vouchers available as a pedicure makes a great gift for someone special.

Treatment areas include frown lines, forehead lines, crows feet, bunny lines and vertical lip lines.

The cost of the treatment is £99 for 1 area, £150 for 2 areas and £180 for 3 areas.
